Cowboy Approved Salmon Patty Recipe


  • 4 cans salmon boneless & skinless (or 2 cans bone in)
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • 4 T mustard (I used sweet and spicy)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ onion chopped small (you can sautee prior to mixing if desired)
  • ¼ cup egg whites (or use one more egg)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Tony Chachere’s to taste* optional
  • ¼ cup olive oil for pan frying

Mix Salmon, oats, mustard, eggs, and seasonings in a large bowl. If the mixture is too dry and won’t stick together add more egg white. Form mixture into 3” diameter patties about an inch thick. Get oil very hot and add patty’s to pan. Turn heat down to medium high. Sautee on each side about 5-8 minutes until golden brown!
