My Week at the Palm Beach Masters

This past weekend, I attended the Palm Beach Masters in Wellington, Florida. The CSI3* show jumping event is the second to last of the qualifying stops on the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League. I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent weather, competition and food while on the grounds of Deeridge Farms. Here are some of my favorite things from the Palm Beach Masters.

I got to go running on the beach!

Working out isn’t always the most fun, but having the ocean as your backdrop doesn’t hurt. I only had time on my first day to go to the beach in Palm Beach (I was staying in West Palm Beach), but it was totally worth it!

Our booth setup looked great, as always! :D

Spectators enjoyed spinning our prize wheel, learning about RIDE TV and learning how they can sign up for our new streaming service, RIDE TV GO!

We also had prime booth real estate.

Behind our booth was the Deeridge Jumper Ring; one of two courses used during the event. I would sometimes take a break and walk around to the back of the booth and capture some of the jumpers in action (see above).

The Taylor Harris Club was right next-door.

This double-decker VIP tent was the place to be, mainly because it was air-conditioned.

Also, Iron Chef Morimoto was inside making sushi on the last day…no big deal.

The competition on both courses was spectacular.

Multiple classes ended on a jump-off against the clock, which was exhilarating to watch in person.

Finally, the last portion of this post is dedicated to the amazing food I ate each day.

Honestly, I was blown away by the quality of the food offered. Sometimes, event food can be hit or miss, but the food trucks at the Palm Beach Masters were all home runs, like this gourmet burger from Food Island.

The guys at Food Island accidently forgot to put their truffle mayonnaise on my burger, so they tracked me down, applied the truffle mayo and then proceeded to give me a free sample of their amazing fish dip.

The trio of mahi mahi, tuna and salmon mixture was so fresh and the jalapenos added a nice kick at the end.

For breakfast, I found myself stopping by a donut food truck.

These mini donuts were SO good. Probably not too good for me, but that didn’t stop me (for 3 days straight).

I also tried their maple flavor, which was my personal favorite.

Also, excuse all of my food in the air pictures…it’s all about the presentation!

But, blueberry was a close second.

I’ll miss these donuts, tbh. Back to the treadmill…

I’m saving the best food truck for last, Churrasco Grill Food Truck.

My go-to lunch spot, this Brazilian churrascaria inspired truck was legit. They offered FILET medallions that were as good as any steakhouse.

Their best item, in my opinion, was their filet sandwich. Again, what food truck offers the filet as their cut of choice? This one.

This was my first and last meal of the event. I definitely started and ended on a high note!

Overall, I had an amazing time at the Palm Beach Masters! This is definitely a world-class show jumping event that anyone interested in the discipline should add to their bucket list. I cannot wait to go back to Wellington, but during a month where the humidity is bearable. I leave you all with this panoramic pic I snapped on my last day!
