Valentine's Day DIY Cocktails
With Valentine's Day quickly approaching and you are searching for the perfect ingredients for an intimate dinner, bypass the wine aisle and dust off your cocktail shaker. I've curated the top 8 DIY cocktail recipes that will add that little extra something to your romantic evening at home!
SPARKLING HIBISCUS
INGREDIENTS
Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
Whole hibiscus flowers, packed in syrup
8 tsps of hibiscus syrup used to pack the flowers
DIRECTIONS
Place a whole hibiscus flower in the bottom of glass. Fill glass with Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG to ¾" of the rim. Carefully spoon 2 tsps of the hibiscus syrup down the interior side of each glass.
THE BITTER SPLIT
INGREDIENTS
3 oz of Elysian Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout
.5 oz of Angostura Bitters
.5 oz of Giffard Orgeat (almond sugar syrup)
.5 oz of Blackberry Liqueur (such as Giffard Mure)
Dollop of heavy whipped cream (if desired for presentation)
DIRECTIONS
Combine Bitters, Orgeat and Blackberry liqueur
Pour over crushed ice, shake and strain into goblet style glass
Add Elysian Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout
If desired, gently add a dollop of heavy whipped cream on top of cocktail and take straw to lightly swirl cream throughout cocktail
Inspiration behind cocktail:
Angostura bitters is found in almost every bar, yet aside from being used sparingly in Manhattans or Old-Fashioneds, this ingredient is often overlooked. Blending the bitters with almond syrup and blackberry liqueur creates a rich, full-bodied combination that complements the coffee in Elysian's Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout.
TITO'S STRAWBERRY ON THE ROCKS
INGREDIENTS
2 oz of strawberry infused Tito's Handmade Vodka
1 fresh strawberry to garnish
DIRECTIONS
Pour 2 oz of strawberry infused Tito's over ice.
Garnish with a fresh strawberry. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
1.5oz Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur
.75oz Pama Liqueur
1.5oz Koskenkorva Vodka
DIRECTIONS
Pour ingredients in a coupe glass and garnish with raspberries.
LOVE, STELLA
INGREDIENTS
Stella Rosa Rosso
Blood orange slices
Rosemary sprig
DIRECTIONS
Add blood orange slices to a glass of ice. Fill with Stella Rosa Rosso and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
CHAMBORD ROYALE
INGREDIENTS
¼ oz Chambord Liqueur
Champagne
Raspberry
DIRECTIONS
Pour Chambord into a glass.
Top up with whatever champagne your tongue desires.
Then plop. Finish with the important raspberry.

INGREDIENTS
4 ounces Smirnoff Raspberry
1.5 ounces Chartreuse
6 fresh raspberries
DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into two vintage martini glasses. Garnish with fresh raspberries. You could sugar the rim for extra sweetness.
VALENTINE'S DAY TEQUILA CAPRESE
INGREDIENTS
1½ ounce tequila
1/2-ounce white balsamic vinegar
1/3 ounce extra virgin olive oil
1/2-ounce Buzz + Bloom Mesquite Blossom Honey
3 or 4 chopped cherry tomatoes with juice
2 basil leaves
3 cherry tomatoes for garnish (cut into heart shapes!)
DIRECTIONS
Muddle the cherry tomatoes, basil, Buzz + Bloom Mesquite Blossom Honey, and vinegar together.
Add in the olive oil, followed by the tequila. In a cocktail shaker, add ice and shake well.Strain through fine sieve and serve with a skewer of cherry tomatoes (cut into hearts for some Valentine's Day flair!) and basil as garnish.
